Comedy for a Cause

If laughter is indeed the best medicine, then the Rotary’s comedy night is sure to cure your winter blues. Or, in the immortal words of Stephen Sondheim, “Something appealing, something appalling, something for everyone: A comedy tonight!” The Groton Rotary Club will host a fun, filled Evening of Comedy on Friday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the Shennecossett Yacht Club in Groton. All proceeds will benefit the Groton Rotary Club’s scholarship fund.
This event is presented in association with Franco’s Comedy for Your Cause. Showcasing the evening’s comedy will be headliner Paul Virzy, who had the number 1 album on iTunes. Featured will be Dougie Phillips, a three time runner up for the funniest comic in Connecticut. Kristal Dyer will host the event.
Tickets are $30 and include hors d’oeuvres. Beer and wine may be purchased during the event.
The Groton Rotary Club is a community organization dedicated to the theme, “Service Above Self”, and welcomes new members.
